(January 23,2007)—A fund-raising activity aiming at enhancing the public welfare work in Suzhou was held in Suzhou International Conference Center. Join Hands in Charity and Social Harmony has been the keynote of the conference, which attracted hundreds of companies. A group of officials, led by Wang Rong, Secretary of the Communist Party of Suzhou, and Mayor Yan Li, attended the ceremony, giving away the certificates and brass plates to the donors.

HeJian, the large enterprise in Suzhou, took the lead in signing an agreement with Suzhou Charity Association to donate RMB 5,000,000yuan applying to a wide range of poverty alleviation, helping-the-handicapped activities, medical service and student grants.
