(September 13, 2007) - Yao-Nash Charity Gala, one of the important activities for "2007 Yao-Nash Charity Itinerary", was held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse on 13th Sep 2007. The former national basketball player and the first one who achieved the entry to NBA in China, Song Tao, attended the charity gala with Yao's invitation. Now, he works as the assistant to the President of HeJian Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd..

Entrusted by President J H Shyu, Song Tao donated RMB250,000 on behalf of HeJian for aiding the Hope Primary School building at the poverty-stricken area in Western China through China Youth Development Foundation.

Education public welfare activity is a dominant part in HeJian's Charity Project. The HeJian No.1 Hope Primary School, namely Zhongpin Village School at Hongshi town Yunyang County in Chongqing Municipality, has been completed and put into use at June 2007. Currently, the survey and investigation for HeJian No.2 Hope Primary School has been finished, and it is ready to break ground in the near future. Moreover, the aids through CYDF will broaden HeJian's Charities blueprint further.

Song Tao indicated in the CCTV spot coverage that as a former basketball player, it is very meaningful for him on behalf of HeJian to attend the charity gala in the name of basketball; he is always willing to help the children realize their basketball dreams and support the people in need, even though he was not engaged in basketball work any more.

It is known that the charity gala on 13th and a charity match on 14th are the main activities for "2007 Yao-Nash Charity Itinerary", all the funds raised from the gala and the ticket sales of the charity match will be donated to help a great number of needy children across China through CYDF, which will be distributed to aid aiding the Hope Primary School building at the poverty-stricken area in western China; to assist the girls with financial difficulties in returning to school in Xinjiang Kezilesukerkzi autonomous prefecture together with Beijing Meijiang Aid Fund and to improve the teaching facilities for the brainpower disability children assistance schools in western China.
