(2006, Jul. 26) - HeJian Technology (SuZhou) Co., Ltd. (HeJian) and Guoxin Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (Guoxin) jointly announced that the Guoxin designed highly integrated system IC GX6101, incorporated with DVB-S receiver and demodulator for satellite set-top-boxes, has been put into mass production at HeJian successfully.

GX6101 is the first single-chip solution designed and manufactured in P.R. China homegrown system IC that integrates DVB-S receiver and demodulator. Based upon the technology of DVB-S receiver IC GX1101, GX6101 integrates multiple new modules, including high performance channel ADC, video and audio DAC, DVB-S channel demodulator and decoder, 32-bit embedded CPU, MPEG2-TS demultiplexer, MPEG-2 AV decoder, video de-interlacing and post-processing cell, OSD builder and TV encoder. It brings forth the channel receiving and source decoding SOC for satellite set-top-boxes to the real meaning.

Succeeding in GX1101 with reputation and advantages of high velocity blind acquisition, Guoxin applies highly integrated technology to reduce the BOM cost of IC and the development cost of system companies. It is believed that the renovation of market is just around the corner, which will change the structure of digital satellite set-top-boxes market.
